What information does Kayden gather online?

Every time you visit our Site, we automatically collect information such as your IP address, which is the Internet address of your computer, the locale, language, country and your user-specific profile we refer to as your Kayden ID, the browser you are using, the Web page from which you came, and a record of your activity on our Site. We use this information to learn more about general trends in traffic patterns so we can improve our Site.
We also use third-party Web analytics companies (“Analytics Providers”) to collect information that will help us improve our Site. Whenever you so request we inform you about the identity and contact details of the Analytics Providers to which your information is accessible at the time of your request. Analytics Providers use “cookies” which are text files placed on your computer when you access a Web site, to help Web site providers analyze use of Web sites by end-users. The information that is generated by the cookie about your use of our Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored on servers. The Analytics Providers and Kayden will then use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our Site, compiling reports on Web site activity for Web site operators and providing other services relating to Site activity and internet usage. Analytics Providers act as data processors and do not use such personal data otherwise than on behalf and on the instructions of Kayden.
Analytics Providers may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; please note that, if you do this, however, you may not be able to use the full functionality of our Site. By using our Site, you consent to the processing of data about you by Analytics Providers, including without limitation, for the purposes set out above.
For some areas of our Site, we ask you to provide additional personal information that helps us enhance your Site visit, assist you with technical support issues, or permit post-visit follow-up. You provide this information to us only once, by creating a Kayden ID profile. This information might include your name, email address, company information, mailing address, application information, product preferences, or contact preferences.

How does Kayden use the information collected about me?

We use the information we receive from you to tailor your experience on our Site and provide you with the specific information or services you are seeking. This information remains confidential. With the information you volunteer, we can process your purchases, confirm your orders, customize the page content and language, notify you of updates to our Site and products, and provide you with specific product and local event information. We add any information you provide to our customer database. Information added to our customer database is aggregated with other information previously collected. Without your prior consent you will not receive periodic mailings, emails, or telephone calls from us about new products and services, discounts, special promotions, or upcoming events.
At any time, you can change your personal information we have stored in our customer database or request not to be contacted for marketing activities.

  • product or service orders, activations, and registrations
  • profile creation
  • information requests

If you choose to use an “Email a Friend” or a similar referral program on our Site, we will ask you for your colleague’s email address, phone number, or other contact information and automatically send your colleague a one-time message inviting your colleague to visit the Site. Kayden uses and stores this information only for the purpose of sending this one-time message and to provide Email a Friend message blocking, where available.

If you post, comment, indicate interest, or share personal information, including photographs, to any public forum on the Kayden Site, social network, blog, or other such forum, please be aware that any personal information you submit can be read, viewed, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to contact you, send you unsolicited messages, or for purposes that neither you nor Kayden have control over. Kayden is not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums.

In addition to the information you provide, Kayden may also collect information during your visit to the Site, or a Web site “powered by” another company on behalf of Kayden, through our automatic data collection tools, which include Web beacons, cookies, and embedded Web links. These tools collect certain traffic information that your browser sends to a Web site, such as your browser type and language, access times, and the address of the Web site from which you arrived. They may also collect information about your Internet Protocol (IP) address, unique device identifier, clickstream behavior (i.e. the pages you view, the links you click, and other actions you take in connection with the Site or “powered by” Web sites) and product information. Kayden may also use some of these Automatic Data Collection Tools in connection with certain emails and communications sent from Kayden and therefore may collect information using these tools when you open the email or click on a link contained in the email.

Kayden also collects information from commercially available sources that it deems credible. Such information may include your name, address, email address, preferences, interests, and demographic/profile data. The information Kayden collects from its commercial sources may be used along with the information Kayden collects when you visit the Site.

How We Use Your Information

Kayden will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others except as described in this Statement. Kayden shares personal information in the following ways:
Kayden retains service providers and suppliers to deliver complete products, services and customer solutions and to assist Kayden with marketing and communication initiatives. These providers and suppliers include, for example, credit card processors, providers of customer support and live-help, marketing, email service providers, automated data processors, and shipping agents. Suppliers and service providers are required by contract to keep confidential the information received on behalf of Kayden and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for Kayden.
From time to time, Kayden participates in marketing initiatives with other companies, including Web sites “powered by” another company on behalf of Kayden. As part of these initiatives, certain Kayden services and marketing communications may be delivered at the same time as those from other companies. Some of these services and communications offer you the option to share personal information with both Kayden and the other companies participating in these initiatives. If you choose to provide personal information only to Kayden, Kayden will not share this information with the other companies participating in that marketing initiative. If you choose to provide personal information to the other companies, that personal information will be handled according to the privacy policy of those companies, which may differ from Kaydens' policies and practices.
Except as described in this Statement, Kayden will not share the personal information you provide to Kayden with non-Kayden third parties without your permission, unless to: (i) respond to duly authorized information requests of police and governmental authorities; (ii) comply with any law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; (iii) investigate and help prevent security threats, fraud or other malicious activity; (iv) enforce/protect the rights and properties of Kayden or its subsidiaries; or (v) protect the rights or personal safety of Kayden employees and third parties on or using Kayden property.
Circumstances may arise where, whether for strategic or other business reasons, Kayden decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize businesses in some countries. Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of personal information to prospective or actual purchasers, or the receipt of it from sellers. It is Kaydens' practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions.

Your Choices and Selecting Your Privacy Preferences

Kayden gives you the choice of receiving a variety of information that complements our products and services. You can subscribe to receive certain product- and service-specific information and also choose to receive Kayden general communications. We give you a choice regarding delivery of Kayden general communications by postal mail, email, telephone, and mobile device.
You can make or change your choices about receiving either subscription or general communications at the data collection point or by using other methods, which are listed in the following sections. This option does not apply to communications primarily for the purpose of administering order completion, contracts, support, product safety warnings, or other administrative and transactional notices as the primary purpose of these communications is not promotional in nature. The communications that you receive from Kayden will be provided in accordance with this statement. Some communications may utilize automatic data collection tools.

Kayden General Communications

Kayden general communications provide information about products, services, and/or support. This may include new product information, special offers, or invitations to participate in market research.

How Can I Opt Out?

If you want to stop receiving promotional materials, you can change your account settings or follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or text message. If you have linked any of your social media accounts to your account for any Kayden Services, you can cancel that link by changing your account settings. If you need any assistance with changing your account settings, please call Kayden.

Access to and Accuracy of your Information

Kayden strives to keep your personal information accurately recorded. We have implemented technology, processes and policies to help maintain data accuracy. Kayden provides individuals with reasonable access to personal information that they provided to Kayden and the reasonable ability to review and correct it, as applicable. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as requiring a password and user ID, before granting access to your data. To view and change the personal information that you directly provided to Kayden you can return to the Web page where you originally submitted your data and follow the instructions on that Web page.

Keeping Your Personal Information Secure

To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of the information, Kayden utilizes reasonable and appropriate physical, technical, and administrative procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Kayden retains data only as required or permitted by local law and while it has a legitimate business purpose.
When collecting or transferring sensitive information such as credit card information we use a variety of additional security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. The personal information you provide us is stored on computer systems located in controlled facilities which have limited access. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as credit card numbers or passwords) over the internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
Credit card numbers are used only for processing payments and are not used for other purposes. As part of real-time payment processing, Kayden subscribes to a fraud management service. This service gives you and Kayden an extra level of security to guard against credit card fraud and to protect your financial data.

If we modify our Privacy Statement, we will post the revised statement here, with an updated revision date.
